Introduction  The "Jade Growing Up Again" comic series is a comic set in the Rejuve universe. It is also probably the longest running series of comics in PAL history. But what about the man behind the stories? Well...now's your chance to get to know him! Hi Red Dragon! Thanks for agreeing to be my fifth interviewee! When did you first work with PALComix? How did you come to know about PAL? I first started working with Palcomix in late 2005. I had been visiting a number of spanking sites and was attracted by several spanking drawings that had the address that's on all Palcomix artwork: "commissions to bbmbbf@gmail.com" along with the URL of the Palcomix site. I started by commissioning several single drawings which I posted on the PAL forum. Unfortunately, with the disappearance of the old PAL forum, those drawings and others that I had commissioned disappeared from sight. However, I have since found that some were reposted at https://spankingart.org/wiki/Jade_growing_up_again and some more were reposted on https://www.boyzbeingboyz.com/. After really loving the drawings I had commissioned, I decided to try writing a spanking comic.  What inspired you to write the JGUA comic? I had been reading the Rejuve Universe stories by Lurking Dragon and, since I had always been a fan of the Jackie Chan cartoons on television, and I thought that Jade and Punky Brewster (and Paco) would make the perfect trio for a rejuve Universe comic. What keeps you going on continuing the Jade-chan series without suffering writers block or an idea drought? Oh, I get writers block all the time...but people are always giving me new ideas to use. A long time ago, I made a story-board about where I wanted the story to go, and I fit those ideas and suggestions into the story. The only problem with ideas is that it takes so long to see them in the comic. I have one fan that was happy that it only took four years for his idea with his character to show up in the comic. How do you feel about Jade-chan having a near-cult following? Since I'm so involved with Jade-chan, it's not surprising to me that others like her, too. But, I am surprised and honored that there are so many that like the story. Have you ever wanted to write a comic outside of this story? What would that be like? I have thoughts about writing another rejuve universe comic, but I haven't had the time. How do you come up with all the great characters in your story? People have written me with such great ideas, it only made sense to make a character for them to be in their own story idea. Sometimes, I have a need for characters to fill out a part of the story, and people will "volunteer". Other times, I have seen commissions done by Palcomix (and other artists) and will ask their owners for permission to use them. The current chapter has several characters right now that were "volunteered" by their owners two years ago...and are now being shown! Of course, I have regulars like MaryBell in each chapter. Ms. Perskova is another favorite of mine and is based on the principal of my elementary school. Are there new characters coming in soon? What are they like? Yes, I have a few new characters coming in the next chapter...and in the chapter after that, depending on scripting limitations. I am "filling out" a few characters that have been seen before, but are now taking more of a center stage. I am also "introducing" several characters for a more substantial role later on....probably as "psi" rejuves. And, we'll definitely see more of Jaydee, Anthony, and Natalie. What about Jade-chan made you want to make a series based around her? I've always loved watching the Jackie Chan TV cartoons, and thought she was quite naughty at times and could use a spanking. What other anime/cartoon series do you like? I like the Jackie/Jade Chan and Punky Brewster cartoons, of course, but I also like Ben 10, Bakugan Battle Browlers, and Inspector Gadget. Other than Jade, Punky, and Paco, a lot of my characters come from these cartoons. Can you guess where Jaydee's Mommy comes from? Out of all the fetishes, what made you do the spanking fetishes (without giving into the temptation of doing sex)? Would you even call your comic a fetish comic? I get asked from time to time about having "Pennies making Pennies," which is totally out of character for the rejuve comix theme, so I ignore those ideas. And, yes, given that a fetish is a preference and a focus on a particular interest, I would say that it is a fetish comic. Jack and Jill went up the hill... what were they doing up there? ...to get some cold water to cool their freshly spanked bottoms!  Do you have another writer / comic on PAL (not by you) that you really enjoyed reading? Who/What was it? There are a lot of comics I enjoy reading on PAL. Not to be forward about it, but I particularly enjoy Kumiko's comics and also Toyloli's. The L3 Club is a classic, and I hope there will be another one! Aww..thanks for the compliment!!! And yes..I plan to have L3 part 2 soon! How has it been working with Bbmbbf and the PAL team? I have been working with BBMBBF for over 10 years now and we have built up quite an excellent relationship. We understand and trust each other to do the right things. In the beginning, the language difference between us caused some difficulty, but now, he has a very good idea about what I want to see to bring the script to life. Have you ever co-written scripts with others? How did that go? I have done a few things with Kyle Itazurana. He has included "me" in his stories, and I have included him (Kyle) in my comix. What advice would you give to new people who want to write scripts for PAL? When I started, BBMBBF sent me a copy of a script for one of the comix as an example. It helped me organize my thoughts and convey my visions to the artist. If you have something specific in mind for a scene, you need to describe it in depth. Providing pictures as examples works very well! Don't think that the artist can read your mind. Any exciting projects in the near future? Yes, I have another Federation to Paradisio "conference" planned, much like the one that ended Chapter 12. The groundwork and build-up to that meeting is being done as we speak. Don't you think Precure Girls should get a good spanking? I haven't watched any shows about the Precure Girls, so I don't know who would deserve it! Do you have a 'waifu' (favourite anime/cartoon female)? If so, who is she? No, I don't. I don't have any loyalty to any of them. I'm quite a free spirit and move from one to another depending on their situations... What is the most important element of a good story? The most important part to me is to enjoy the story yourself before you write it. It's one thing to have a good idea, but quite another to try and expand it into a story. Any last words for your PAL/Rejuve fans? I am happy that so many people enjoy my comix, and I hope that the next chapters are just a enjoyable for you to see and they are for me to script. I do take suggestions and ideas...but please realize that it takes a Looooong time for them to appear. The current chapter being posted is only half done, and I'm already scripting the next chapter.
